FAO (OSRO/AFG/129/ASB)

Today, the ORD/FAO team selected 1156 beneficiaries in the Pashtrod district for the summer crop package. This package includes maize seed, DAP, and urea. In addition, the second ORD team selected 270 beneficiaries for the home gardening package in the Gulistan District. This package includes vegetable seeds, DAP, and UREA


FAO (OSRO/AFG/129/ASB)

ORD received 17.6 MT mungbean seed from FAO in Faryab province to be distributed to eligible farmers as Summer crops to enhance local crops and agri-productd in the province. The seed will be distributed by ORD in four target provinces of Faryab

Today, the ORD/FAO team in Farah province selected 290 households to receive the summer crop package (maize seed) in Poshterood district. The (BPS) is directly monitored by local authorities and the Afghan Australian Research and Management (ARM) Field Monitor to ensure transparency and quality of services. Moreover, the ORD team has established Beneficiary Selection and Complaint Hearing committees in Poshetrood district to address any concerns and improve the quality of services provided. In addition, 20 silage making groups have been established in Lash Jowin Shib Koh and Anar Dra districts. These groups will help improve livestock feeding practices and enhance the livelihood of the local communities.
