Daily activity work progress report According to the work plan the process directly monitored by local government authorities today selected 237 HHs in Almar district, Note: 6 districts in Faryab province successfully completed. Total remaining 969 HHs in 2 targeted districts namely Almar and kohistan.


FAO(OSRO/ AFG/129/ASB), Vegetable package

Today ORD/FAO selected 250 eligible farmers' households during the beneficiaries profile survey in the Omna district. During the survey ARM, and DAIL representatives actively participated and monitored the ORD field staff activities and survey process.


FAO(OSRO/AFG/129/ASB) Summer crop package

The ORD/FAO provincial team have successfully completed the beneficiaries profile survey and successfully selected all 4100 eligible households to receive the Summer crops. The process was directly monitored by local authorities and the the Afghan Australian Research and Management (ARM) Field Monitor. Besides ORD has created both complaints and beneficiary selection committees, to improve transparency and quality of services and give voice to local communities.


FAO(OSRO/AFG/129/ASB) Summer crop package and (OSRO/ AFG/ 203/ ASB)

Today, the ORD/FAO team in Farah province selected 290 households to receive the summer crop package (maize seed) in Poshterood district. The (BPS) is directly monitored by local authorities and the Afghan Australian Research and Management (ARM) Field Monitor to ensure transparency and quality of services. Moreover, the ORD team has established Beneficiary Selection and Complaint Hearing committees in Poshetrood district to address any concerns and improve the quality of services provided. In addition, 20 silage making groups have been established in Lash Jowin Shib Koh and Anar Dra districts. These groups will help improve livestock feeding practices and enhance the livelihood of the local communities.

ORD received 17.6 MT mungbean seed from FAO in Faryab province to be distributed to eligible farmers as Summer crops to enhance local crops and agri-productd in the province. The seed will be distributed by ORD in four target provinces of Faryab

Today, the ORD/FAO team selected 1156 beneficiaries in the Pashtrod district for the summer crop package. This package includes maize seed, DAP, and urea. In addition, the second ORD team selected 270 beneficiaries for the home gardening package in the Gulistan District. This package includes vegetable seeds, DAP, and UREA


April 20, 2024، Khost Province Distribution of fruit sapling Persimmon and walnuts Projects: FAO (UNJ-SE1, UNJP/AFG/133)

The ORD team distributed Persimmon trees to eligible households in Khost: 1. Khost Maton Persimmon trees to 27 HH 2. Qalander District Persimmon trees to 27 HH 3. In Mosakhil District walnuts fruit saplings to 28 HH. Each beneficiary received ten fruit trees. The beneficiaries also received training for planting, diseases and irrigation in the mentioned Districts The distribution process was closely supervised by representatives of the agriculture department and local government.


24 April Farysb: Subject: training session of Communication and community engagement (CCE)

ORD provincial team received training in communication and community engagement (CCE), organized by BBC Media Action in Faryab province. In this training, the ORD team was able to learn communication, community Engagement, accountability to the affected people(AAP), types of Communication, the basics of Communication, understanding society and its composition, understanding the prevailing situation of a society, common and opposite aspects between villages and cities, feedback, types of feedback, design and implementation of the feedback mechanism.


April 25, 2024, Paktıka:

The ORD Paktıka team distributed Apples saplings to 27 HH today, and each beneficiary received ten Apples trees. The beneficiaries also received training for planting irrigation and diseases in the districts of Sharana, Paktika Sharana districts completed this procedure for the sapling intervention, which was closely supervised by representatives of the local government and the ARM and ORD Teams.
